Newest BAC Member

Well it is official! I am now a member of the Business Advisory Council at Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School. I have attended three different events that are for members and I have to say that I am enjoying myself! Since being a student at Faith Lutheran from 6th grade through my sophomore year, I know how important this group is to Faith's students. I think that this group of individuals have really made a difference in getting Faith the technology they need to give the students a great education and learning environment.

A little about the BAC's goals and benefits follow.....

The goal of the BAC is: Technology is the crux of why the Business Advisory Council exists. The Business Advisory Council is committed to ensuring the highest quality education for Faith Lutheran students through fundraising for technology. Your membership, dedication and support help enhance learning in: labs, science, computers.

The benefits for those who own their business are the following:

-- Breakfast seminars: The Business Advisory Council hosts two breakfasts during the school year featuring notable speakers of interest from the Las Vegas community.

-- Annual Wine Tasting event: To show our appreciation of your support of the BAC, this event is held in your honor!

-- Annual listing of your business as a member of the Business Advisory Council in the Sunday Edition of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

-- Your business will be listed as a link on

-- Listing of your business in the Crusader, our monthly newsletter that is mailed to all Faith families, alumni and supporters.

-- Recognition as a business leader in the Las Vegas Community helping to shape the future.

-- Opportunity to host a Breakfast Seminar for $1,500, which includes your annual membership fee, pre-event promotional recognition and recognition at the event. Your additonal support helps to ensure event proceeds go towards the technology needs at Faith Lutheran.

-- All donation are tax deductible in accordance with the law.

These are all really great benefits that the BAC offers, but you get even more once you are a member and attend the events. Being a member allows you to network with a variety of people from different industries. It is a win-win all the way around, if you ask me.

I may be biased saying that this group is really beneficial and being a member is a great experience since I have a huge connection with Faith, but I feel like giving back to Faith after attending the school gave so much to me is the right thing to do. While I was a student, I didn't have alot of the things that the students have now, but the environment and the teachers were the same. I learned so much while I attended Faith and I felt that my time at Faith really prepared me for college and made my college experience easier.

After that being said, for those of you who read these posts and own a business, you should really think about becoming a member and helping students at Faith Lutheran. For more information on the process of becoming a member contact Jennifer Cunningham at
